With influencers and bloggers always pointing out which designer pieces we MUST have in this year’s sale – you know, things marked down from $superexpensive to $stillexpensive – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is always something that I look at from afar. But just because people seize the opportunity to add coveted designer items to their wardrobes doesn’t mean that there aren’t “regular people” items just as seize-worthy. Below you’ll find the items in the sale that are on my realistic wish list – grab them before they sell out!
Perfect for throwing on to go to the bus stop over PJs (bra optional) or for keeping warm on a chilly evening out – this Top Shop Gray Marl Long Cardigan is a perfect staple item to welcome in the late summer and early fall weather.
Chunky, oversized sweaters and tops are big for fall. What better way than to add it in sweatshirt-form. I’m always down for something that is on-trend, comfortable and versatile. You can totally dress this up or wear it to the bus stop (again… bra optional).
I’m always looking for statement pieces that can be dressed up or down, that can go from office to night out – and you can never go wrong with animal print. This sweater comes in two colors – the green is equally appealing.
The same goes for cropped tees. This one from Nike is great for the gym and I would rock it with some high waisted denim and sneaks for a day out with the kiddos.
Blazers for the fall are longer and less-fitted – which is typically a challenge for petite frames. This one from Halogen is a great way get in on the trend but not look like you’re a kid wearing your dad’s blazer, and the check pattern is neutral and can go with anything!
I love that you can get Madewell at Nordstrom – and these are my FAVORITE Madewell jeans. High-waisted to keep all the mommy parts snug and cropped to show off a little sexy ankle. Again, great for summer evenings and early fall weather. You could even pair them with some ankle booties and fun socks for colder weather.
Everyone needs a solid water repellent rain coat for the fall. Love this one from Northface for it’s functionality and design – looking good and feeling good (er, dry).
A floral print perfect for fall in a silhouette that at first glance seems conservative, but has an edge to it that keeps it fresh. Great for the office or a night out.
Despite my general aversion to UGGs (cough, Tom Brady…) I’m into to these waterproof wedge booties in this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Functional and on trend.
Mix a modern silhouette with an on-trend fall color and you get the perfect fall statement shoe. Great for the office, a casual lunch, or a night out! Love the block heel height – very functional, which means I’m not going to trip while chasing small children.
Barely a sandal, this bootie-esque shoe from Vince Cameo is a great for transitioning from summer to fall. For those days/nights that don’t quite feel like one or the other. The neutral color and block heel are trends that aren’t going anywhere either, so definitely worth the investment!
For moms that are beyond the typical diaper bag, this tote from Madewell is perfect and with a great fall color. I have several Madewell bags and the quality is definitely worth the regular price so I’m definitely all-for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale price.
One can never have too many belt bags, that’s what I always say. This one from Treasure & Bond brings a biker edge with the glossed leather, if you’re fancy.
Love these fun glitter earrings from Kate Spade. I don’t typically gravitate towards this design house as it is a bit preppy for me, but these are gorgeous and have just the right amount of edge to them.
So this isn’t technically on my wish list… because I got it during last year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I figured I would give it a shot and return if I wasn’t seeing any results. I definitely saw the results! More of a splurge item, but worth it!
